Obviously, I will come to regret saying such a thing to a group of people I’ve never met, considering the fact that they say one in three people is mentally ill. (As you’ve surely figured out by now, we don’t have the ADA psych screening tests in place yet!) But I’m really not trying to castigate any of you as crazy…quite the opposite. You kill me, in all the good ways. Karpaydym and the Iphone application, Joe alerting the Activity Pit community about the latest news, Mike’s dogged determination to fit the word “Bought” into sentences, Dave’s incredible help on the newsletter/Wordpress front, the comments here, the hashtags. When I went and checked on the site where I guest blogged and saw how many of you commented, it nearly cracked my heart in two (again, in a good way). You are precious. And a special word to Aaron, who thinks he needs to rewrite more: a line in an email you sent me, where you said that when you first started using Twitter, you thought tiny url was a reference to a guy named Earl who just couldn’t spell his name correctly, still makes me laugh weeks later. So maybe you don’t need as much rewriting as you think.
Here’s what I need to tell of you: one of the ways I work on my recovery/natural tendency toward negativity is to make lists of things I’m grateful for every day (not written out lists — although I used to do that…lists in the head.) And lately “my blog readers” has been regularly making the list. Is that sad? To be grateful for people I haven’t met? Or happy? Or neither? Who knows?
I don’t really have much to say beyond the fact that the Bought madness is oh so terribly exciting. I just hope I don’t have post book-um depression come next week. Well, if I do, I know one place I can turn…

Yeah, yeah, I know, like a brother.
Seriously, the post-book thing is perfectly natural. Make an effort to get some rest, as you’ll need it with publicity coming up. Eat good dark chocolate.
I’m glad that we make you smile. I sometimes think, “I wonder if we make Anna smile with our goofiness!”
Toddrod
Good luck with the book release. Despite it not being your first book release, I can imagine it is still quite exciting and crazy.
Speaking of Crazy. I probably am one of those 1 in 3 people. My mental illnesses are probably closer to trivial rather than anything dangerous or more than annoying to myself and others.
If we ever do have the opportunity to meet, I will try not to go all fan-boy on you. I figure we’ll just grab a beer together and chat about blogging and sex (and maybe your book).
“one in three people is mentally ill”
Well, we know Ted has some probems in that department so that probably means the rest of us are OK.
Hey Anna – those 30 school buses you wanted me to order for the Academy are on their way. I got ‘em for a great price. They just need a little paint and they’ll be as good as new. Here’s a picture the previous owner forwarded to me:

Wait…what? I volunteered to turn “Bought” into a musical and not even an honorable mention!?!?!? I’m a very needy blogger Miss David! Well, I’m not so needy but I am good with photoshop….so please just pat me on the head and send me back to the ADA Art class now!
P.S. – Does anyone know what Joe is up too? I mean I realize he’s hiding somewhere and trying to figure out his next AMAZING attempt to cement himself as the #1 blog commenter! Joe, I’m watching you!
the feeling is totally mutual in case you had any doubts.
i think i can say with reasonable certainty that mike isn’t the 1 out of 3. of course, typing in the third person, would mike be all 3 possibles? hmmmm….
like toddrod said, glad we could do our small part to make you smile and hopefully making the grateful list will prove to be a very happy thing.
as far as next week goes, you are absolutely correct. it’s very exciting, especially since we are all living it through you. and if you need a place to turn, you know you have one and that includes posts, e-mails, calls or whatever. and since they won’t let me go back to work, i can stay up late, so throw a rock(how many will know what that means mike wonders).

The thought, or possible threat, of psych evaluations sound like a lot of fun.
but what if i have multiple personalities?
would 2 of my 3 personalities be fine, and only the 3rd would be mentally ill?
my brain is starting to hurt again.
hey! no caps! (that was my 4th personality at work)
the thought of being on the bus joe found with ted is too much to take. i may turn into the 1 of 3 thinking about that. and don’t worry joe, ted can’t see much out of that one eye.

Sweet! I don’t think I’ve ever been subjected to a psych eval… do I dress up for it, or can I bring my regular jacket that ties up all nice & cozy with the arms at the back? Should I bring a snack? Would I get negative marks if I randomly switch my test answers between first and third person?
Seriously though, I may not exactly be the brightest crayon in the box, but I’m glad I stumbled into this ever growing community of people I’ve never met. It’s certainly good to know that we as devoted readers do have even the smallest of impact on your day. That alone is reason enough for me to return.
read the recent tweets by our esteemed principal ladies and gentlemen, we may need a call to arms. we’re here if you need us. I may not get bought into the hashtag so everyone who reads this must buy #bought may 19. if you don’t, it’s like breaking a mirror and you’ll have 7 years of bad luck.

On in 3? Really? Wow I would have thought that number was smaller than that, but hey, who am I to argue with statistics?
And does it count if you have a paper that says your not crazy? Mine is in purple crayon, but still it is signed by a Dr. Pepper, so it has to be real, right?
Right?

Oh and all that rambling made me forget that to thank whoever approved my picture. Now Principal Anna can put a face to the restraining order. Huzzah!
And Trapp, maybe it isn’t Multiple Personality Disorder, but just flashbacks from all the LDS we had back when were following the Clowns. Remember dudes, don’t take the Brown ones!
I take a annual psych test for my job and keep hoping i will show up nuts and get punished with early retirement..lol
Well then again i think the test is rather nuts so who knows?
I will admit though i was having problems with my POV (personal vehicle) in Wichita today and may have went nuts momentarily after pricing the fix..ugh!

There exist some evils so terrible and some misfortunes so horrible that we dare not think of them, whilst their very aspect makes us shudder; but if they happen to fall on us, we find ourselves stronger than we imagined, we grapple with our ill luck, and behave better than we expected we should. ~ Jean de La Bruyere
Also had to add this one below after reading reading the tweets from Anna for the day, sounds as if might have been a tough and busy day, hopefully tomorrow will fall into place much better..
Quote:
“I have missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I have lost almost 300 games. On 26 occasions I have been entrusted to take the game winning shot… and I missed. I have failed over and over and over again in my life. And that’s precisely why I succeed.”
Michael Jordan
Uhh… did Christian say “brown ones?”
uh oh :o
I wanted to add….
doesn’t the title of this particular blog (My Love for You Knows No Bounds) sound like Anna’s next book? It could be about a girl who meets and falls in love with a kinky, bondage boy. His name could be Joe, and her name could be Bo. They could meet in a hardware store. Bo is looking for some eco-friendly light bulbs, and accidentally bumps into Joe who is about to purchase some duct tape and nylon rope.
It was a short guy named Earl who couldn’t spell his own name and I kept wondering why so many people were linking to his website.
“True genius is the ability to recognize one’s own stupidity.” Just wish I didn’t have to recognize it on a daily basis.
Alison Rosen did her standup comedy last night
Did she take a moment to ask everyone to purchase “Bought” ?
Also, on Monday May 18th, about 3AM Anna gets grilled by CBS News Journalist and Up To The Minute Host, Michelle Gielan, but how is Anna going to stay awake all day to attend all the “Bought” launch parties that night.
I think the title of Anna’s next book is going to be: Lisa’s Story: My Stalker, I Thee Wed
How did I determine this? I went to the Lifetime Movie Title Generator, typed in some basic information and that’s what came out.
Try it yourself: http://www.bredcrumbs.com/lifetime-movie-title-generator
AND BE SURE TO POST YOUR TITLE HERE. Anna needs our help!
I don’t think you’re weird because you love your virtual friends/blog fans, Miss Anna. In fact, I love the community and my fellow ADA students too. This place is always good for something to ponder, or someone to make me laugh. So, thanks for that.
In other news, I’m SUPER excited for bought. I can’t wait, but I’m trying to be patient. I’m staying away from the spolier stuff, because I want to just be able to sit down and devour the book. Does this mean I’m failing my ADA courses?
Ahhh …. my first experience with love on the internet.
And no, it certainly is not sad to be grateful for those you’ve never met. Perhaps that depends though on how many of us fall into that 1 out of 3. I wouldn’t think this is an entirely random sample of people here so perhaps our percentages are slightly skewed. 2 out of 3? 2 and a half? Or in Trapp’s case 2 out of 4? … but in a good way of course.
Joe, the title I got from that thing is:
Not Without My Vitamin-Poor Mother: The Truth About Joe
I’m definitely mentallly ill
Here’s mine, interesting play on words I think:
Laura’s Story: The Death That Love Made

Quote for Friday:
How far you go in life depends on your being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving and tolerant of the weak and strong. Because someday in your life you will have been all of these. ~George Washington Carver-
Hope everyone has a Great Friday and a even better weekend!
People who do their geneology are grateful for great great grandparents they haven’t met.
Expectant mothers are grateful for children they haven’t met.
Politicians are grateful for voters they haven’t met.
Celebrities are grateful for fans they haven’t met.
Bankers are grateful for taxpayers they haven’t met.
OK, that last one was a dig, but you get the gist of the thing anyway.
